Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Welcome to Bandry. These Terms govern your use of the Bandry app and any related services. By creating an account or using Bandry, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Who can use Bandry

You must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under the age of legal majority where you live, you also need a parent or guardian’s permission.

You agree to:

  • Use your real identity. Don’t impersonate other people or misrepresent your affiliations.
  • Maintain one personal account. Don’t operate multiple accounts to circumvent blocks, bans, or the trial period.
  • Keep your Apple ID and device secure. You’re responsible for everything that happens on your account.

How Bandry works

Bandry is a need-and-offer bulletin board for musicians and music-industry people. You write postsdescribing what you’re seeking or offering. Other users see those posts in their feed — radius-gated for local posts, global for remote roles like mixing or design.

There are exactly two interactions:

  • 🔥 Endorse — tap a fire emoji to upvote a post. Free, never gated.
  • 🔗 Link up — tap to express interest in working with the poster. When you do, your contact information is shared with the poster — and only the poster — so they can contact you off-platform.

Once a link-up happens, the conversation moves off Bandry. We are not a party to any communication, agreement, or transaction that follows. We don’t mediate disputes between users.

Your account and your free trial

When you sign in with Apple for the first time, we create an account for you and start a 14-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to every feature.

When the trial ends, you’ll need an active subscription to keep posting and linking up. Reading the feed and endorsing posts remain free — you can stay in the app without paying.

When in-app subscriptions launch, they will be billed by Apple under the terms shown at purchase. Renewal, refund, and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID account settings; Bandry doesn’t process payments directly and can’t issue refunds outside Apple’s standard policy.

Acceptable use — community guidelines

Don’t use Bandry to:

  • Harass, threaten, defame, or stalk other users.
  • Post hate speech, violent content, sexual content, or anything illegal under US law.
  • Spam — repetitive promotional posts, mass-link-ups, or any automated interaction.
  • Impersonate someone else, or misrepresent your skills, role, or experience.
  • Post content you don’t own the rights to.
  • Use Bandry to recruit for activities outside the music industry (it’s a music marketplace; that’s the deal).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass any technical limit we set.

Posting your contact information directly in a post body or showcase link to circumvent the link-up mechanic is also a violation — the privacy of the 🔗 reveal is load-bearing for the whole community.

Reporting and moderation

If you see a post or user that violates these guidelines, tap “...” on the card and pick Report. A founder reviews every report within 24 hours and may:

  • Remove the post.
  • Suspend or terminate the offending account.
  • Take no action if the report doesn’t apply.

You can also block any user from the same menu. Blocked users no longer see your posts and you no longer see theirs. Blocks are enforced server-side and bypass-proof.

If your post is removed, you’ll receive an in-app notice explaining what happened.

Off-platform connections

When you link up with someone, you share your contact information so the two of you can connect off-platform — via email, phone, Instagram, or wherever you chose to be reachable.

Bandry is not involved in those off-platform conversations. We don’t mediate work agreements, payment disputes, missed sessions, no-show appointments, IP ownership, or any other matter that arises after the link-up. You’re responsible for your own due diligence before working with someone you met through the app, exactly as you would be after meeting someone at a show or through a friend.

Your content

You retain ownership of everything you post — your post bodies, your showcase links, your profile information. By posting content, you grant Bandry a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content within Bandry to other users, for as long as your account is active or the content is published. This is the minimum license we need to actually show your post to other users.

When you delete a post or your account, that license terminates for the deleted content.

Showcase links

You can attach links to other services (Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, portfolios) on your posts. We fetch each link’s preview metadata (image, title, favicon) so it appears as a rich card in the feed.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share whatever the link points to. We can remove links that violate copyright, point to illegal content, or are used to circumvent these Terms.

Service availability and changes

We do our best to keep Bandry available and working, but we don’t guarantee uptime. We may add, remove, or change features at any time. If a change materially affects how the app works, we’ll let you know.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for an extended period after notifying you.

If we terminate your account for a violation, you do not have a right to a refund of any subscription payment already made.

Disclaimers

Bandry is provided “as is” and “as available.”We make no warranty — express or implied — that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We don’t warrant that any link-up you make through Bandry will result in successful work, payment, or any other outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bandry and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including lost profits, lost work opportunities, or damages resulting from any off-platform interaction with another user.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Bandry is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations of liability, so part of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bandry and its founder from any claim, demand, loss, or liability — including reasonable attorneys’ fees — arising from (a) your use of the app, (b) any content you post, (c) any link-up you make and the off-platform interactions that follow, or (d) your violation of these Terms.

Apple’s role

If you downloaded Bandry from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and Bandry, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Bandry.
  • If Bandry fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for any third-party claim that the app or your possession of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights.
  • Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
  • You must comply with all applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example, your wireless carrier’s terms).

Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app, in addition to these Terms. Where Apple’s EULA is stricter than these Terms, the stricter provision applies.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Bandry will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and — for changes that materially affect your rights — we’ll show you a notice the next time you open the app. Your continued use after a change means you’ve accepted the new version.
